VarDAR Systems Ltd – The company
Ever since it was established, VarDAR Systems Ltd have been serving the blown film processing industry, extensively researching the methodologies and technologies employed to develop equipment and components to increase production efficiencies. The company has a wealth of inhouse experience and has worked closely with blown film producers to the global market
enhancing their processing capabilities.
VarDAR’s latest new product offering is web-inspection systems dedicated to the blown film industry called VarDAR Vision.
By using optical transmission technology, Vardar Vision can pick up any light blocking defects in the film being produced.
The system is designed to provide 100% inspection and monitoring of the blown film process, generate data, provide warning of any film defects and plot location that can cause rejection
On display in our demonstration facility is a dual camera transmission system. Ensuring product quality and optimising process capabilities is of paramount importance when producing blown films.
VarDAR Systems Ltd have a team of blown film experienced engineers, designers and industry experts to bring innovative technology to the blown film processing industry.
At the fore front of the business is the VarDAR DDF dual directional flow air ring for enhanced bubble cooling. The tower mounted system was initially designed whilst working together with a premier UK Blown Film producer, who was becoming increasingly frustrated that their output potential was being restricted by the limited roof height available in their factory
In 2022, the VarDAR DDF system won ‘The Horners’ Award for Plastics Innovation and Design. The award is one of the longest-running plastics awards in the world, which is jointly run by the British Plastics Federation and the Worshipful Company of Horners, a livery company.
The VarDAR DDF system is a proven and extremely effective method of boosting output particularly when customers suffer from the onset of blocking or the height of the blown film line is limited.
In addition to installations in UK factories, the company has exported to customers in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the USA and are currently building equipment for the Asian market.
2023 VarDAR Systems Ltd move to larger facility in Cheltenham
Due to record sales in 2022 VarDAR Systems moved to bigger premises in February 2023.
The new facility has more production space for systems under construction, and has enabled us to bring in-house many of the processes previously outsourced, we have made investments in powder coating technology and increased our 3D printing capacity. Our Water Jet cutting machine was installed in the summer of 2023 enabling us to cut intricate shapes in one operation.
